Le Cordon Bleu Australia hosts many events for both students and the public.

To help make students' stay in Adelaide a memorable one, Le Cordon Bleu Australia offers new students a range of activities, including:

  • An orientation bus tour of the picturesque Adelaide Hills, wildlife park and wineries, including lunch.
  • A course commencement ceremony which includes a formal award ceremony, drinks and canapés.
  • Participation in student representative meetings.
  • Movie nights, a farm visit to see Australian animals, go-karting, ten-pin bowling, group dinners and a sports night.

At the completion of the Adelaide programs, students are invited to participate in a black-tie graduation dinner and formal ceremony.

Adelaide Course Commencement Ceremony

The Course Commencement Ceremony is a formal occasion aimed at welcoming new students to Le Cordon Bleu Australia. It is also an opportunity to meet with current students, cohorts and Le Cordon Bleu staff.

The event celebrates, through a formal Award Ceremony, the following achievements:

Award Diplôme Culinaire d’Hotelier

This award is presented to students who have successfully completed Stage 1 & 2 of the Le Cordon Bleu Bachelor of Business in one of the specialist degrees, and have successfully completed the academic elements of Cuisine A and Food & Beverage studies within Stage 1 and in addition, have successfully undertaken the required 600 hours of industry placement in a hospitality environment as required in Stage 2.

Meritorious Awards

This award is given to recognise students who have achieved merit in Stage 1 & Stage 3 of their studies.

Industry Excellence [IP awards]

This award is for outstanding contribution by an individual whilst undertaking their Industry Placement for Stage 2 or 4.

The formal ceremony is followed by cocktails.  An official photographer is present and photographs are available for purchase after the event.

Pin Ceremony

All current Stage Three and Stage Five students are invited to the presentation of the Le Cordon Bleu Academic Award Pin.

This pin is awarded to you in recognition of your academic journey takenwhilst studying with Le Cordon Bleu.

Two pins will be awarded on this evening – Bronze and Silver – each representing a stage of your development as an international ambassador of Le Cordon Bleu.

Adelaide Graduation & Gala Dinner

The biggest event in Le Cordon Bleu Australia’s event calendar. This year is the 10th annual graduation so has to have a wow factor.

The Adelaide Graduation is a formal ceremony and black tie dinner to mark the achievements of our undergraduate and postgraduate hospitality management students. Degrees are officially conferred and graduates wear formal academic regalia. It is a celebration for those students who have successfully passed the following subjects:

The event recognises the hard work and efforts of Le Cordon Bleu Adelaide students and is a great way to celebrate together with your friends, family, teachers and Le Cordon Bleu staff.  An official photographer is present and photographs are available for purchase after the event.
