The Graduate degree program in Gastronomy (ultimately leading to a Master of Arts in Gastronomy) is a unique collaboration between the world-renowned Le Cordon Bleu academy and The University of Adelaide, one of Australia's leading universities and a member of the Group of Eight (Go8).
The Le Cordon Bleu Master of Arts in Gastronomy is one of the few degree programs in the world leading to an advanced degree in gastronomy studies. The degree program is built on a series of articulated courses, and is designed in the early stages to provide a general appreciation of the history and culture of food and drink from ancient times, with a strong focus on contemporary themes. Students then go on to research their own area of interest in the field of gastronomy.
Students established in a gastronomy-related career, such as a restaurateur, wine importer, or a food or drink journalist, will find that the program in Gastronomy a pathway to professional advancement. Students seeking a gastronomy-related career in hospitality, media or tourism will gain an academic background from this program.
While the program leads ultimately to the degree of Master of Arts in Gastronomy, qualifications ranging from Professional Certificate of Gastronomy to Graduate Diploma of Gastronomy are awarded at various stages of completion.
The University of Adelaide and Le Cordon Bleu jointly assess all applications. Entry will be based on merit and will be subject to class availability. Students should normally have achieved an average of at least 70% in coursework in order to commence the dissertation.

* Please note that students who enroll without a Bachelor degree will be initially admitted for the award Professional Certificate of Gastronomy only and will need to achieve a Credit grade (70%) or higher in order to continue onto the next stage of the program.
